The Gloucester County Adjuster's Office is responsible for preparation of papers relating to the commitment/admission of the mentally ill and developmentally disabled for Gloucester County residents. They also work with state and local law enforcement agencies in providing a search of mental health records for gun permit applications. The office is mandated by NJ State Statute and does not fall under the Open Public Records Act (OPRA).
