Will accept dead crow and blue jay reports from residents and agencies between April 16, 2009 through Septembr 28, 2009 Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:30am - 4:30pm [Telephone # 856-218-4170]
Crows and blue jays found nights and weekends will not be picked up for testing. Please contact Health Department at the above referenced number during regular business hours to report finding a dead crow or blue jay. The report will be forwarded to Trenton . (Note: The specimens will not be accepted at the state for testing because they will deteriorate too quickly to allow for processing.)
Will refer crows and blue jays requiring pickup to the Animal Shelter for pickup during regular business hours
Will ensure transport of specimens to lab
Will respond to resident's complaint of potential mosquito
breeding [violations of the NJ Public Health Nuisance Code of 1953] [Telephone #856-218-4170]
Will provide information about the occurrence and treatment of viruses in
