Collection, identification of mosquitoes for lab analysis of the virus

Provide appropriate larvacide / adulticide (pesticide) application

Gloucester County Animal Shelter

Will provide pickup of crows, and blue jays for lab testing during
regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm.

Crows and blue jays found nights and weekends will not be picked up for testing. Please contact Health Department at 856-218-4170 during regular business hours to report finding a dead crow or blue jay. The report will be forwarded to Trenton . (Note: The specimens will not be accepted at the state for testing because they will deteriorate too quickly to allow for processing.)

Will accept dead crow and blue jay reports from residents and agencies between April 16, 2009 through Septembr 28, 2009 Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:30am - 4:30pm [Telephone # 856-218-4170]
