The Personal Health Services division of the Department of Health provides essential healthcare services to the people of Gloucester County. Our mission is to promote the health and well-being of the community through prevention of infirmity and protection from infectious disease.
The Office of Community Health Services utilizes outreach efforts to detect various “at risk” conditions throughout the county. Our registered nurses and clinical staff screen for diabetes, cardiovascular disease, cancer and lifestyle risk factors. The services are available for health fairs, community functions, or events concerning public health.

The Office of Communicable Disease has the responsibility of detecting, reporting, preventing and treating infectious disea
se throughout the community. Sexually Transmitted Disease, HIV and Tuberculosis clinics are available to the general public.
The Office of Child Health and Wellness specializes in the care of children from 2 months to 19 years. Children without insurance will receive free vaccinations, physical examinations, and growth and development assessments. Registered nurses will council the children and their families on healthy lifestyles and help them develop a plan to promote their
well-being.
