Gloucester County Seasonal Flu Clinics Get Going Again

(Woodbury, NJ) - The Gloucester County Board of Chosen Freeholders announced today the County will resume providing seasonal flu shots to its residents. To date over 13,000 seasonal flu vaccines have been administered to county residents, however the program was temporarily suspended due to a national shortage of vaccine.

"The county has been on the phones with the pharmaceutical suppliers every day since we had to temporarily suspend our clinics," said Freeholder Director Stephen M. Sweeney. "With H1N1 production it has been a unique year, but we are ready to get our program up and running again," Sweeney stated.

Freeholder Jean DuBois said that Gloucester County residents are encouraged to get their seasonal flu shot. "We are following to the CDC guidelines and in order to reach the most residents we have targeted large venues throughout the county," DuBois said.
