FREEHOLDER DEPUTY DIRECTOR
Freeholder Deputy Director Robert M. Damminger is serving his fourth term on the Board of Chosen Freeholders of Gloucester County.
Bob was born and raised in Paulsboro , New Jersey. He resides in Greenfield Heights with his wife Debbie and their daughter, Kimberly Nicole.
Bob is a graduate of Paulsboro High School . He is employed with the South Jersey Transportation Authority (http://www.sjta.com/) .
Bob was elected and served on the Paulsboro Council for eleven years. He was a member of the Public Works, Finance and the Water and Sewer Committees. He also chaired the Public Safety Committee for ten years.
As a Freeholder, Bob oversees the Department of Public Works, which encompasses the Engineering, Planning, Highway, Fleet Management Divisions and the Planning Board. His responsibility extends to the oversight of the Office of Land Preservation and Open Space; Agriculture Development Board and the County Extension Service which includes 4-H and Youth Development Programs; Family and Consumer Services; Agriculture and Resource management and Home Horticulture and Master Gardeners Programs.
Bob is Chairman of the Delaware River Dredging Committee and is a member of the County Water Committee; Board of School Estimates; Police Academy Advisory Board; County Capital Improvements Committee and the County Cable Advisory Committee.
Bob is the Freeholder liaison and chairman of the Tri-County Water Management Board and also serves as the Freeholder liaison to the Gloucester County Utilities Authority.
