Freeholder Warren S. WallaceFreeholder Dr. Warren S. Wallace is currently serving his forth term on the Board of Chosen Freeholders for Gloucester County.  Warren lives in Washington Township with his wife, Patricia, and daughters, Tiffany and Shana.  His son, Rodney, has made the military his life’s career in the United States Air Force.
Warren is a member of the charter graduating class (1970) of Gloucester County College. He received his Bachelors and Masters Degrees from Glassboro State College, now known as Rowan University; a Doctorate Degree from Nova Southeastern University and a Management Certificate from Harvard University.  He also attended Temple University for graduate study.  Warren has served on the Monroe Township Council and previously was chairman of the Monroe Township Board of Health.  In addition, he served as a Gloucester County Democratic Committee person, representing Monroe Township and Washington Township.

Warren’s other community services have included serving as a member of the Board of Trustees of Gloucester County College; Trustee of the Pennsylvania Institute of Technology; Chairman of the Gloucester County Juvenile Conference Committee; Chairman of the Glassboro Child Development Center Board of Directors, foster parent, volunteer probation counselor; and 9/11 volunteer at the Family Assistance Center at Liberty State Park.  He co-chaired Governor McGreevey’s Transition Team on Authorities and was appointed by the Governor as a Commissioner to the Delaware River and Bay Authority where he served as vice-chairperson and chair.
Warren has received numerous awards and honors for  his civic contributions including the honor of being named Gloucester County College Alumnus of the Year; the UMDNJ Excellence Award; the UMDNJ Minority Health Council Recognition Award; the National Association of Medical Minority Educators Northeast Region and National Awards; the Elliot G. Heard Foundation Upstream Navigator Award; the Wounded Healer Spirit Award; the Women’s Progressive Club of Swedesboro Government/Community Service Award, the UMDNJ - School of Osteopathic Medicine Medal of Excellence and the South Jersey Development Council Public Sector Award.
Freeholder Wallace oversees and serves as liaison for the Department of Human and Social Services which consists of the Departments of Human and Social Services, the Office of Transportation, Transportation Advisory Board; Youth Services Commission, and the Human Services Advisory Council.
