Re.: Three meth arrests
Two Hammonton NJ men and a California resident were arrested in Clayton NJ on Tuesday (10/10) in possession of one pound of methamphetamine.
The arrests in the area of Academy St. and Atlantic Ave. were the result of a cooperative investigation between the Gangs, Guns and Narcotics unit of the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office and the Clayton Police Department. A K-9 unit with the Pitman Police Department assisted in the arrests.
Benigno Ramirez (DOB 6/10/80), of Hammonton; Benigno’s cousin, Salathiel Ramirez (DOB 12/12/78), of Hammonton and Eugene A. Griffin (6/23/80), of San Diego CA were all charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of CDS with intent to distribute. The charge is a first-degree offense since the amount of CDS is more than five ounces. Estimated street value of one pound of methamphetamine s $100,000.
Griffin also was charged as a fugitive from justice. He has an active warrant from San Diego on a counterfeiting charge.
