Re: Child Exploitation Arrest
Douglas Baldino (DOB 08/18/1978) of Mantua Township, NJ, was arrested and charged on 9/13/19 with one count of distribution of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography, Gloucester County Prosecutor Charles Fiore announced.
On Friday, September 6, 2019, detectives from the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office High-Tech Crimes Unit received a Cyber Tipline report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). The investigation identified Baldino, who resided on Woodbrook Drive, Mantua Township, New Jersey, as a suspect in possessing and distributing child pornography.
Investigators executed a search warrant at Baldino’s residence on September 13th, and he was subsequently arrested. Investigators conducted a search of Baldino’s computers and digital media and located child pornography. Baldino was transported to the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office, where he was processed and subsequently lodged in the Salem County Jail on the strength of a complaint-warrant, pending a detention hearing.
Detectives from the GCPO High-Tech Crimes Unit were assisted by the GCPO Entry Team, New Jersey State Police Digital Technology Investigations Unit, federal Homeland Security Investigations, GCPO Crime Scene Unit, and the Mantua Township Police Department.
Despite these charges, every defendant is presumed innocent, unless and until found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, following a trial at which the defendant has all of their rights as guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution and State Law.
