In each of the State's twenty-one (21) counties, there is a County Counter-Terrorism Coordinator who acts under the auspices of the State of New Jersey Office of Counter-Terrorism.

The role of the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office Counter-Terrorism Unit is to administer, coordinate, and lead Gloucester County's efforts with the goals of identifying, deterring, and detecting terrorist-related activities, consistent with the New Jersey Domestic Security Preparedness Act.

A cooperative effort exists between the State Office of Counter-Terrorism and the County Office to gather and disseminate intelligence to all twenty-two (22) local law enforcement agencies, as well as campus police, as it relates to counter-terrorism. There also is a cooperative relationship with private industry and other entities that may be potential targets of terrorism where information is shared and security recommendations are made.

The Counter-Terrorism Unit of the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office can be reached at (856) 384-5606 or (856) 384-5605, during normal business hours, or through the Gloucester County Emergency Response Center at (856) 589-0911 during the evening, weekends, and holidays.
