16th Annual Water Fest Set for June 2nd
County’s Largest Environmental Fair Will Feature Live Animal Shows, Exhibits & More
(CLAYTON) – The Gloucester County Board of Chosen Freeholders announced that the 16th Annual Gloucester County Water Fest will be held on Sunday, June 2, at Scotland Run Park from 11 AM to 4 PM.
Water Fest is the County’s largest environmental fair featuring exhibits, crafts, food and music during the free event.
Freeholder Director Robert M. Damminger said, “Water Fest is a fun and educational way to connect with nature and a fun way to learn about our environment. We live in a beautiful region and Water Fest will offer a lot of tips on what we can do as individuals to keep it beautiful.”
This year’s festival includes B’Wana Jim’s Live Animal Show at 12 noon, 1:30 pm and 3 pm. There will be free face painting from 11:30 am to 3:30 pm, and canoeing and kayaking from 12:30 to 3:30 pm during WaterFest.
Freeholder Adam J. Taliaferro said, “Water Fest is a way that families can make the connection between what they do at home and in their communities and the health of our local waterways.”
Taliaferro said, “This event is a great way to kick off our summer season. Gloucester County offers free concerts, movies, family fun shows and more all summer long. Water Fest is the official start of our Parks and Recreation programs.”
Water Fest sponsors includes Gloucester County Department of Parks and Recreation and LS Power.
The event is free of charge. The Water Fest will be held rain or shine. Scotland Run Park is located on Academy Street (Co. Route 610) in Clayton.
