Pitman and Monroe receive new buses for senior and disabled transportation

The Freeholder Board instituted the CTIP bus match program, a 50% dollar match with the municipalities, in 1992 to assist municipalities with the purchase of new buses. CTIP provides county funds to municipalities for the purpose of providing transportation to senior citizens and persons with disabilities.

Each bus is for 22-passengers with 2 wheelchair slots and rear lift. The total for each bus was $80,544 making each town's share $40,272.
