Help animals in need by donating and holidayadoption deadlines
(Clayton, NJ) – The Gloucester CountyAnimal Shelter would like to remind residents that the last day to adopt a petfor the holiday season is Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2017. Due to newlyadopted animals requiring time to become accustomed to their new house beforethe rush of the holiday, the animal shelter will not start to release animalsagain until after Christmas to avoid stress being put onto the animals.
Freeholder Director Robert M. Damminger said,"The greatest gift anyone can give to any animal is a family. This holidayseason, we are hoping to put many of our animals into homes that will give themthe love they deserve."
The Gloucester County Animal Shelterwould also like to remind residents that the season of giving can also beextended to animals in need. The shelter has a wish list of items that theycould always use and donations are greatly appreciated.
Freeholder Dan Christy, Liaison to theGloucester County Animal Shelter said, "Donating to the shelter is a great way togive to animals that might not get to spend this holiday season with a familyof their own."
