Freeholder Simmons recognized at statewide association meeting

(Trenton, NJ) - On Friday, Jan. 26, Freeholder Heather Simmons, liaison to the Department of Economic Development and Public Works, was recognized for her term as president of the New Jersey Association of Counties (NJAC) 2017 and sworn in as Immediate Past President of NJAC in the Senate Chambers of the New Jersey State House in Trenton.

Freeholder Simmons said, "It was an honor to serve as president of the New Jersey Association of Counties last year. I am proud to continue to work with NJAC on legislative issues related to running effective and efficient county government." 

NJAC is a non-partisan organization that represents the only true regional form of government in the State with a unified and proactive voice. NJAC is committed to advancing innovative programs and initiatives that enhance the level of service provided and save valuable taxpayer dollars. They advocate for legislation, regulations, and policy directives that empower county governments to operate more effectively and efficiently.
