(Woodbury) - Freeholder Stephen M. Sweeney and Freeholder Frank J. DiMarco, Liaison to Cultural and Heritage Commission, announced today that original artwork will be on display at the 2005 Juried Photography and Print Exhibition from April 30th to June 1st. Freeholder Stephen M. Sweeney said, "This art show is another opportunity for Gloucester County artists to get recognition of their work." Sweeney stated, "This is the second year that the county has sponsored a photography and print show at Riverwinds and we are looking forward to its continued success."
Sweeney said that residents are invited to view and purchase pieces from this show. There is no commission to the county for purchase of art at the show. The sale of the art work will strictly be between the artist and the buyer.
"The show will feature many pieces of artwork on display for the public to enjoy," said Freeholder Frank J. DiMarco, Liaison to Cultural and Heritage Commission. "Our goal is to provide access to the arts to county residents and raise the visibility of the arts and cultural community," said DiMarco.
The art work will be a collaboration of work from residents 18 years or older living in Gloucester, Camden, Atlantic, Salem, Cape May and Cumberland counties. The art work will include pieces of photography, digital imagery and print that the artist has done within the last three years.
