Red Bank Battlefield Spring Festival this Sunday
(National Park, NJ) Step back in time for a day of history and family fun at the annual Red Bank Battlefield Spring Festival this Sunday, April 14 from noon until 4 p.m. The event is free for all to attend.
Freeholder Director Robert M. Damminger said, "The annual Spring Festival is a great way to enjoy springtime in Gloucester County. There's something for everyone to enjoy at the event, from games and crafts for children, a petting zoo, and colonial demonstrations to food and unique vendors."
Colonial demonstrations include labor saving inventions, candle making, military life, sheep shearing at 1 and 3 p.m. and much more.
Freeholder Jim Lavender, Liaison to the Department of Parks, said, “The Spring Festival is a great way to experience life in colonial Gloucester County and colonial America. Along with all the outdoor fun, The James and Ann Whitall House will be open for tours and special battlefield tours are scheduled at noon and 2 p.m.”
The Red Bank Battlefield Park is located at 100 Hessian Ave., in National Park, NJ.
