Taliaferro and Jefferson tour Paulsboro Refinery

(Paulsboro, NJ) – NJ Assemblyman Adam Taliaferro and Freeholder Jim Jefferson recently toured Paulsboro Refinery and learned more about the operation that has been part of the community for more than 100 years.

Freeholder Jefferson said, "Paulsboro Refinery is an important element of our region's economic infrastructure.  They employ 475 on site and hundreds of contractors and are one of the largest independent petroleum refiners in the country.  It’s great to learn so much about the assets we have in our own backyard."

Assemblyman Taliaferro, Vice Chair of the Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee, said, “As the largest asphalt producer on the East Coast, Paulsboro Refinery supplies environmentally clean products including enough diesel fuel for one million trips in a tractor trailer across the country.  They are a great corporate neighbor and work with many of our agencies to help ensure the safety of our region.”
