My Friend's House – an outpatient treatment facility – helps those with substance use disorder and mental health

(Woodbury Heights, NJ) - Freeholder Jim Jefferson recently toured My Friend’s House, an intensive outpatient treatment facility operated by three Gloucester County residents who saw the need for more facilities that offered resources and treatment to those who struggle with substance use disorder and mental health. The Woodbury Heights facility is cofounded by Carla LaGuarina, Robert LaGuarina Jr., and Michael Dulude.

Freeholder Director Robert M. Damminger said, "Addiction is a disease that too many suffer from in silence. It is imperative to have facilities that offer the resources necessary to begin the recovery process."

Freeholder Jim Jefferson, liaison to the Department of Health and Human Services said, “Many individuals struggle daily to find the right help to fight their addictions.  My Friend’s House is a safe place for them to have a voice, to feel safe and to receive the help they need without judgment.”

My Friend’s House is an in-network facility and is in-network with all major insurance companies offered in New Jersey, including New Jersey Medicaid.  My Friends House turns no one away.  They offer numerous options for funding and scholarships for anyone who does not qualify for funding or the Presumptive Eligibility program to assist with Medicaid coverage.   They work with WFNJ, drug court, IDRC programs, parole and probation.  They are dedicated to providing the highest quality of treatment to the client at all times.  All of the staff members are credentialed in the field of drug and alcohol as well as some in the mental health field.
