Gloucester County to Offer Flu Shots in January and February
(Woodbury, NJ) - Gloucester County Freeholder Director Stephen M. Sweeney and Freeholder Helene M. Reed announced that in light of continued requests from residents for flu shots, and a remainder of vaccine, that the county would offer four additional Flu Clinics in January and February of 2006.
"We want to make sure all of those who need a shot get a shot," said Freeholder Director Sweeney. "We worked very hard to make sure that Gloucester County received its flu shot shipment and we want to make sure our residents are getting immunized," Sweeney said.
Freeholder Helene Reed, liaison to the Department of Health and Senior Services, said, "Gloucester County has administered over 15,000 flu shots this season. Our program has run very efficiently and we are pleased that we had ample vaccines to offer our residents." Freeholder Reed noted that there is no out-of-pocket cost for a flu shot, which are available to Gloucester County residents only.
Gloucester County's added Flu Shot clinics will be held in the Health Department, 160 Fries Mill Road, Turnersville on:
Thursday January 12th 8:30 am to 11:30 am
Thursday January 26th 8:30 am to 11:30 am
Thursday February 9th 8:30 am to 11:30 am
Thursday February 23rd 8:30 am to 11:30 am
No appointment is necessary.
