3rd Annual Gloucester County Italian Festival September 24th

(Deptford, NJ) – Gloucester County will hold its 3rd Annual Italian Festival on Sunday, September 24 from 12 noon until 7 pm at Gloucester County College. The festival is free of charge, and will be held rain or shine.

“Opera dei Pupi” Sicilian Marionettes (2 performances)
Based on the legends of the Crusades and adapted over 500 years. The characters are knights and their enemies, and romantic ladies of medieval times.

“Artigiango Popolare” Italian Folk Arts & Crafts Activities for children scheduled from 1-5 pm in the college center. Venetian masking, tambourines and more!

“The Legend of Old Befana” Storyteller Dorothy Stanaitus (2 performances)
Children of all ages and families are invited to learn the legend of La Befana.

Magic Show/Renaissance Face Painting

The Gloucester County Italian Festival is sponsored by the Gloucester County Board of Chosen Freeholders, Gloucester County Cultural and Heritage Commission and a grant from the NJ State Council on the Arts. The event is coordinated by the Italian Advisory Committee.

The Gloucester County Italian Heritage Festival is a rain or shine event.
All activities for the GC Italian Heritage Festival will take place in or around the College Center.
Gloucester County College is accessible to those with physical disabilities. Handicap parking is available.
