MEDIA ADVISORY/PHOTO OPPORTUNITY Ribbon Cutting to Open the County’s 1st Regional Salt Storage Shed

As part of the county’s regionalized Stormwater Management Program Gloucester County Freeholders and Mantua Township Officials will cut a ribbon to open the first completed regional Salt Storage Shed. In addition to serving Mantua, this shed will be available to serve Pitman, Wenonah and all or a portion of Woodbury Heights. The Mantua shed will have a new wheel loader on site at the ribbon cutting. It is one of five that has been purchased for each of the salt sheds.

Gloucester County is the only county in New Jersey that has taken a regional approach to assisting its municipalities in complying with the DEP’s Stormwater Management requirements. The result of this program will save the municipalities approximately $20 million.
