Resurfacing High Hill Road (CR 662), Woolwich Twp. From: Auburn Road (CR 551) to Township Line Road Woolwich Township
On or about the week of June 21, 2010 the County of Gloucester will begin resurfacing High Hill Road (CR 662) from Auburn Road (CR551) to Township Line Road, Woolwich Township.
The project is being completed in order to address the deterioration of the existing surface.
The project will consist of milling 2 inches of the existing asphalt and overlaying the roadway with 2 inches of new asphalt surface course. Wheel ruts and other pavement distortions will be removed by this pavement overlay. Existing inlet grates not meeting NJDOT standards will be replaced with new bicycle safety grates. The inlet openings not meeting NJ Storm Water Management Guidelines will be replaced or retrofitted. Traffic striping will also be replaced.
The roadway will remain open during construction. East bound and west bound traffic along High Hill Road shall be maintained by way of lane shifts or alternating traffic during the various stages of construction. Residents shall have access to their driveways at all times. Driveway aprons within the project limits shall be maintained by the contractor during construction.
The work should take approximately two weeks to complete and drivers and residents are asked for their patience during the improvement.
