Media Advisory/Photo Opportunity County to Deed Land to Monroe Township for Open Space

WHAT: Gloucester County Freeholders will present the deed for 17 acres of preserved open space to Monroe Township officials. The addition of this land, known as the Fera Property, helps create a greenway of almost 90-acres of contiguous open space in Monroe Township, and pushes the countys preserved land totals to 16,178 acres. The Township plans to use the land for recreation and conservation purposes.

Directions from Woodbury: take Delsea Drive and make a left on to Academy Road in Clayton. Take Academy past Scotland Run Park and the Veteran's Cemetery. Cross over Tuckahoe Road (555) past the cemetery and make a left on to Clayton Road. The property will be on the right about a ¼ mile or so on Clayton Rd. Almost directly across the street from the Genova property (where there is a blue and white open space sign).
