"A New Decade, A New You" Gloucester County Presents 10th Annual Women's Health Summit
(Woodbury, NJ) - Gloucester County Freeholder Director Stephen M. Sweeney and Freeholder Jean DuBois announced that the Gloucester County Board of Chosen Freeholders will host the 10th Annual Women's Health Summit this Saturday, October 23rd from 8 am to 12 pm at the Gloucester County Institute of Technology, 1360 Tanyard Road in Sewell.
The free event is a collaborative effort lead by the Gloucester County Department of Health and Senior Services that provides information focused on broadening health awareness for women and their families. The Summit offers workshops, over 100 exhibitors, supervised children's activities, health screenings, a healthy snack and door prizes.
"The Women's Health Summit celebrates its 10th anniversary this year and we are proud of how this program has evolved from when we first launched it. In today's economic climate I believe that this summit is more needed than ever," said Freeholder Director Sweeney. "The Womens Health Summit provides workshops on how to reduce stress, make healthier food choices, exercise options and overall offers a fun day where women can come together to learn how to make themselves and their families healthier," Sweeney stated.
Freeholder Jean DuBois said, "Women often put themselves last on the list when it comes to caretaking, but for a few hours at the Womens Health Summit women can focus on how to care for their own lives and health.
