Media Advisory/Photo Opportunity Counties and Congressman Andrews to Call Upon FCC to Stop Interference in Public Safety Frequencies


Gloucester County Freeholder Director Sweeney, Congressman Andrews and members of the Gloucester County and Camden County Public Safety Community will hold a news conference to call upon the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to immediately cease Digital Television transmissions on certain channels that cause interference with public safety communications, to freeze licensing on future DTV channels and transmitters that could cause interference and to provide federal funding for a 700 MHz communications platform to alleviate the interference.
