Media Advisory/Photo Op-Closing Day Ceremony for Special Campers


Forty children and their families will attend the closing day ceremony for Gloucester County's Therapeutic Recreation Summer Day Camp Program.

The Summer Day Camp Program is attended by children and adolescents ages 5 to 16 years who are diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome, ADHD, PDD, ODD, and other social or behavioral difficulties.  This camp is a place where children learn appropriate socialization and coping skills through role-playing games and lessons.

The students will enter the cafeteria, procession style and go on stage. Each class will be introduced (there are 5 classes) There will be a presentation of awards by teachers.

During the ceremony (at 12:20) a video of the participants' summer experiences will be shown.  The video was prepared at Bankbridge School (school for children with special needs).

Community entrance is first parking lot on right. Enter the building and the Cafeteria is to your right.
