5th Annual Photography & Print Exhibition Takes Place April 3rd – 28th Local artists encouraged to participate
(Sewell, NJ) – Gloucester County will hold its 5th Annual Photography and Print Exhibition from April 3 to April 28, 2009 at the Dr. Ross Beitzel Art Gallery at Gloucester County College, 1400 Tanyard Road Sewell.
Local artists are encouraged to participate in the show. Entries must be received by March 30, 2009. Visual artists from the region may submit up to two original works, including photography, visual imagery and print that have been completed within the last three years.
An opening reception will be held on Friday, April 3 from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm and awards will be announced at the reception. Best in show prize is $200, second prize is $100 and there will be two honorable mention awards of $50. Award winning photographer Andrew Cherashore will be the Juror.
“The show will feature many pieces of artwork on display for the public to enjoy, and it provides an opportunity for our local artists to receive recognition of their work” said Freeholder Stephen M. Sweeney.
Freeholder Frank J. DiMarco, Liaison to the County’s Cultural and Heritage Commission, said, “The show provides access to the arts to our residents and it raises the visibility of the arts and cultural community,” said DiMarco.
