Celebrate Small Business Saturday in Gloucester County

(Woodbury, NJ)—Gloucester County Freeholders are encouraging residents to shop local this holiday season and to participate in ‘Small Business Saturday’ on November 26th

Freeholder Director Robert M. Damminger said, “Gloucester County is home to more than 13,000 small businesses and when we shop local we are all contributing to the success of our economy.  Whether it is service related or retail, this weekend is one of the busiest shopping times of the year and we are encouraging consumers to shop Gloucester County first.”

Damminger said, “Flowers, coffee shops, restaurants, boutiques and clothing, art and other specialty stores in Gloucester County are wonderful places to find everything on your gift list this year.”

Freeholder Heather Simmons, liaison to the Department of Economic Development said, “Small business drives our economy.  Many people go to the big department stores on Black Friday, but there is an opportunity for the local experience too.  Small Business Saturday is a great way to support the local economy and find unique gifts that you don’t find at the mall or at major chain stores,” said Simmons.  “Small businesses are usually owned by your neighbors. When you shop at a small business, you are supporting our local economy and our local job base,” Simmons said.
